My Dupont Street lies south of Davenport Road, which lies at the bottom of the escarpment that marks the ancient shoreline of Glacial Lake Iroquois. There's something cheery about the sheer quantity of green things in the parking lot garden centres of the large grocery stores, like the one at the Loblaws at Dupont and Christie.

Walking home west from a Christmas Eve dinner with friends, I was walking north on Christie Street just south of its intersection with Dupont Street when I saw these two cats curled up in the storefront window left over from a commercial property's residential conversion. One cat was quite interested in me.

934 Manning Avenue, located on the south side of Dupont Street one-third of the way east from Christie Street to Bathurst Street, once housed the restauant Papa Mios, then later Amore Fine Foods, and now currently houses an empty storefront. Walking by one day, I thought I'd take some quick pictures of the premises.

The decalling in the storefront advertises "Frank's Furniture", but a quick Google search reveals no active business operating here, on the east side of Christie opposite Melville just south of Dupont, under this name. I rather like the exuberant and colourful West Coast-themed scene centered around a totem pole painted on a house wall at Christie and Garnet. The yard, though, had the feel of something interrupted, perhaps by the past weekend's snow (gone as of this typing), with the chair at left and the grocery cart at right left stranded.
